2009 OPEN HOUSE

It poured Friday afternoon and it poured all day Saturday.  But the wet weather couldn't dampen our spirits.  We had the tent, the train station, and the Red Barn for shelter.  The vendors and exceptional crafts people stuck it out under the tent.  The Cloggers clogged and the band played on.  The Travel and Trunks exhibit (above)  was well-received.

The Treasures from My Trunk presentation was lots of fun and we thank our presenter, Mary Jeanne Bialas of Victorian Whispers, for bringing the 19th century to life once again in the Red Barn.

Mary and Steve Cohen of NYC and Hunter were good sports about being Victorian models.  They were picked from the audience and outfitted by Mary Jeanne from the inside out in the clothing of the era.  We got to watch them put it all on, layer by layer, which made us all grateful not be Victorians on this rainy day.

As for the sun?  There's always next year.
