April 20 Waterfalls A combination auto and foot tour of the most scenic waterfalls in our area. Meeting place: Historical Society Campus Route 23A Haines Falls, NY. 9:00 AM. return 3:00 P.M. Vertical Rise: Several short climbs. Distance: Total about 3 miles. Difficulty level: easy to moderate.
May 18 Kaaterskill High Peak and Round Top. High Peak offers views north to the Blackhead Range and South to Platt Clove and the Hudson Valley. Once on top, we will try to make our way the extra mile to Round Top; an excursion that has eluded us for years. Meeting place: St. Francis deSales Church Elka Park . 9:00 AM. return 5:00 P.M. June 8 Luncheon at Mohonk Mountain House
. Our members have fallen in love with this
truly unique resort. This will be our ninth visit. Contact us for information
on cost and payment dates for the luncheon at the Mountain House.

June 22 Mt. Tremper Noted for its restored fire tower and its rattlesnakes. Meeting place: Junction Rt. 214 and 28 at the bronzed eagle. 9:00 AM. return 5:00 P.M. Vertical Rise: 1900 ft. Distance: 6 miles. Difficulty level: Moderate to difficult.
July 6 Giant Ledge. Panoramic views of the Devil's Path to the North and the Hudson Valley in the Distance. Vertical rise 1000 ft. Distance 3 miles. Meet Big Indian 9:00 AM return 2:00 PM Difficulty level: Moderate See our map links page. Depending on the day, and the interest of the hikers, we may continue on to Panther Mountain. Those who choose to continue will cover a total of 7 miles with a climb of 1600 ft and return around 5:00 for a more difficult hike.
July 27 Ashokan High Point. Edward Henry, author of Catskill Trails: A Ranger's Guide to the High Peaks will be leading this hike and offering tips for photography. Great views of the Ashokan Reservoir to the east Burroughs Range to the west. One of the best blueberry patches in the Catskills should be ripe for picking. Meet Rt. 28 Boiceville at Bread Alone. 9:00 return 5:00. Moderate.
August 10 Lake Minnewaska and Lake Awosting Dramatic ledges, shaded carriage roads, waterfalls and a swimming area at Lake Awosting make this one of our most requested hikes.. Meeting place: Thruway Exit 18. 8:30 AM. return 5:00 P.M. Vertical Rise: minimal. Distance: 10 miles. Difficulty level: moderate due to length.

Post Office . 8:30 AM. return 6:00 P.M. Vertical Rise: Two main
climbs first 2000 ft. to the top of Blackhead followed by another
900 ft. to Stoppel Point. Distance: 12 miles. Difficulty level: difficult.
