Rip Van Winkle Festival
Saturday and Sunday August 26th and 27th 2000

Schedule of events

This weekend, the Mountain Top Historical Society is presenting a Rip Van Winkle Festival at its Haines Falls Campus.

The two day event  features a major exhibit of Rip Van Winkle artifacts, musical entertainment by the Greene Room Players and others; a book fair with multiple editions of Rip's Story, an agricultural life exhibit evoking everyday life in Rip's time, local crafts and food vendors, and more.  Amusements and activities will make this celebration fun for the entire family.
We are presenting the festival as part of the Bicentennial of Greene County and are pleased to have the cooperation and support of the Greene County Bicentennial Committee.  We are also working with the Greene Room Players and the Catskill Mountain Foundation to present a festive Mountain Top event.

Mark your calendars now for the Rip Van Winkle Festival in Haines Falls on Saturday and Sunday August 26th and 27th.

Don't sleep through the excitement!
