Mountain Top Historical Society Campus Route 23A - Haines Falls, NY |
|
The Historical Society’s new Welcome
Center is right on Route 23A at the front to our 18 acre campus. It has
space on the wrap-around porch for displays, vendors or discussion in Spring,
Summer and Fall. |
| The Welcome Center's open first
floor gallery has space for exhibits of art, historic memorabilia or educational
materials. |
|
|
The 1913 Ulster & Delaware Railroad Station
is in its original position a short walk from the Welcome Center. Two large overhangs at the ends of the station are natural and picturesque settings for performing arts. |
| Two separate programs can be set up
at the same time. |
|
|
The interior of the train station is
another ideal location for display of artwork as well as a meeting space
and setting for workshops. |
| The exterior of the Barn Gallery
invites visitors. |
|
|
The Barn Gallery provides an ideal setting
for art shows accommodating as many as seven large individual spaces. |
| When more space is needed, tents can
be rented for use by exhibitors. |
|
|
The pond area is an ideal setting
for storytelling or an acoustic performer. The campus provides ample pathways
for wandering and exploring. |
Photograph, paint, or just stroll along the wooded paths. |
|
|
There is ample space for parking
and for additional tents that can be set up for performances if they are
required. |
