Since I cannot look through my camera, I imagine the composition in front of me - not unlike a painter.  I mount the camera on a tripod, estimate the angle that frames the picture, carefully open the shutter and then count the exposure time.  It can be anywhere from six to thirty seconds.   Next    Back
